Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal
The Golden Jubilee Medal was issued to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's 50th anniversary on the throne. Approximately 366, 000 medals were issued to the Armed Forces, the police, fire and ambulance services, RNLI and mountain rescue services.
Members of the Armed Forces had to have completed 5 or more years service by 7th February 2002 to be eligible for its award.
The obverse of the medal show a right facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a crown. The words "REGINA FID DEF ELIZABETH II DEI GRA" are roudn the outer edge.
The reverse shows the royal coat of arms flanked by the dates 1952 and 2002.
