General Service Medal 1962 with Malay Peninsula Clasp
The General Service Medal 1962 with Malay Peninsula Clasp was authorised under Army Order No 79 which was released in 1967.
For those members of the Armed Forces who served ashore, the Malay Peninsula Clasp was issued for 30 days service in the Malay Peninsula or Singapore between 17 August 1962 and 12 June 1965.
For those who qualified for the Malay Peninsula Clasp afloat, they were required to serve 30 days in the waters of Malay Peninsula or Singapore. For air crew members, they were required to carry out 30 air patrols over the same areas as those for land forces.
