General Service Medal 1918-62 with Palestine 1945-48 Clasp

The Palestine 1945-48 Clasp was authorised under Army Order No 146, which was released in 1957.

This clasp was issued with the Third and Fourth issue of the medal (The medal shown in the picture is the third type of obverse). To be eligible for this clasp the recipient had to have been on the strength of a unit in Palestine for one or more days. For those who received the clasp for visits or inspections in the Palestine, they had to complete 30 days service.
