General Service Medal 1918-62 with Near East Clasp

The General Service Medal 1918-62 with Near East clasp was issued under Army Order No 81 which was released in 1957.

The qualification period for the Near East clasp was for one days service or part thereof for the Army and for the RAF they either qualified the same as the Army or by the participation in one or more operational sortie from their Cyprus base.
